✯ U.S. ARMY – VIETNAM WAR ✯ SHOULDER SLEEVE INSIGNIA
NOTE: These Department of the Army approved shoulder sleeve insignia are the ones authorized during the Vietnam conflict for wear on the left shoulder by assigned personnel of that unit. On the normal duty service army green uniform these insignia were in full color as shown. However, in Vietnam they were also issued in subdued colors (samples shown at the bottom of this page) for jungle fatigues and other field utility tunics. This was officially extended army-wide on 1 July 1970.
